Dannie Donkey In The Den(深井裡的驢子)

Dannie Donkey In The Den(深井裡的驢子)

001

Dannie was a sweet, gentle two-year-old donkey.
He always followed his master to the market to help him carry goods.

Dannie

002

One day, on the way back from the market, he fell into a dried well.

attachments/200812/1820107107.jpg
003
The well was deep and dark. Dannie Donkey was very scared.

attachments/200812/7381612867.jpg
004
His master tried all kinds of ways trying to save him out of the well.

005
He tried and tried but nothing seemed work.

attachments/200812/9152030363.jpg
006
He finally decided to give up.
He thought to himself” I’d better cover this dried well, so no one else would fall into the well again.

007
He called some friends and got some dirt and started to cover the well with dirt.

008
“What in the world is that” said Dannie.
“ Are they going to cover me with dirt?”

attachments/200812/6179777818.jpg
009
“ Am I going to be buried in the dirt and die?”

010
“Why there’s no one having mercy on me?”
“ No, I don’t want to die. What should I do?”

attachments/200812/8565809689.jpg
011
Dannie was crying as hard as he could.
But it didn’t take long that he changed his thought.

012
Actually, he had not much time to think about it.
He just started to shake off the dirt on his back.

attachments/200812/1622740859.jpg
013
Little by little, but surely, he came higher and higher every time people put dirt into the well.

attachments/200812/4436760887.jpg

014
“Here I am!”
With a big smile on his face, he triumphantly walked out of the well.
Every body was surprised but surely happy to see him.

attachments/200812/4398504339.jpg
015
Just shook off the dirt on his back and not felt sorry for himself.
Dannie not only save his life but also gave everyone a good lesson—

016
Shake off whatever looks bad on you and let it be a foot stool instead a foot stone for you.

Why was that?
Wasn’t the four-minute-mile a limit for human being?
No, it was just a barrier in the runners’ mind.
